Northern Counties School has a wellbeing steering group which was formed to :
- Evaluate current practices
- Develop new initiatives to promote wellbeing
- Make realistic and achievable improvements in the wellbeing of our students and staff
The team members are a group of staff in a range of roles who work across school- teachers, support staff , HLSSAs and therapists.
We have achieved the ‘Carnegie Recommendations for improving Mental Health and Wellbeing in schools award’. The award is a framework for whole school mental health development and is designed to strengthen wellbeing. To achieve the award, the school have demonstrated a commitment to working towards excellent practice by making mental health and wellbeing core to everything we do.
